KARACHI: The Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) administration fired an air hostess on Saturday for smuggling mobile phones.
According to sources, the air hostess – Mahwish – serving in the national airliner was involved in smuggling mobile phones of various brands from London to Lahore. While doing the above in flight PK-758, the Customs officials seized the valuables during a search from her possessions. The seized contraband included six iPhone 6 and a Samsung.
The air hostess confessed to her crime during the Custom’s interrogation, sources said. The airlines’ authorities have terminated her from the job for her illegal actions.
